In any professional career, one of the obligations of “being a professional” is to stay extremely current in the trends, developments, skills, keywords, and methodologies that are impacting your occupational field.  Not only will this help you maintain peak marketability for available jobs, but it also helps guards against factors like age bias and obsolescence — and having a regular reading regimen can also be downright enjoyable, if you’re the kind of person who enjoys learning new things, in general.

Not being an exception to this rule, myself, I routinely review a ton of emerging articles, blog postings, and literature related to the career management world to identify emerging trends and potentially uncover new tips, tricks, and strategies to share with my clients.  For years, I’ve passed along some of my favorite articles and links via my monthly newsletter, but now that I’ll be committing a lot more time/energy to my blog, I’m going to periodically be compiling some links and sharing them via this platform.  As always, my mission in this respect is to showcase those articles that I feel really stand out from the crowd in terms of addressing an often-overlooked job hunting factor, discussing a critical emerging trend, or providing some unconventional advice or wisdom that’s different from what you’ve likely come across before.

So on that note, here’s a recent slate of pieces I’ve come across that have impressed me — and that again, touch on a range of employment-related topics that I think will resonate with many of you out there.  Enjoy!
